Question 1

What is Guro?

Accepted Answer

Guro is a driver marketplace platform. You book a verified professional driver to drive your own car — for daily travel, outstation trips, airport transfers, weddings or corporate needs. Drivers are supplied by verified partner agencies and independent driver partners.

Question 2

Does Guro provide the car?

Accepted Answer

No. Guro provides the driver only. The driver comes to your location and drives your car. Fuel, tolls and parking are paid by you.

Question 3

How are Guro drivers verified?

Accepted Answer

Every driver completes KYC with their driving licence and Aadhaar, a live selfie match, and a review of their driving experience. Agency partners are also verified before they can assign drivers.

Question 4

How quickly can I get a driver?

Accepted Answer

Booking takes less than 2 minutes. For immediate needs, choose the emergency option and we'll assign the nearest available driver. For planned trips, we recommend booking a few hours in advance.

Question 5

Which cities does Guro serve?

Accepted Answer

We currently serve Coimbatore, Chennai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Namakkal and Tiruchengode, with more cities in Tamil Nadu coming soon.

Question 6

How much does it cost to hire a driver?

Accepted Answer

Hourly bookings start at ₹149/hr, Half Day is ₹699, Full Day is ₹999 and Outstation is ₹1,499 per day. Corporate plans are priced on request. See our Pricing page for details.

Question 7

Can I track my driver during the trip?

Accepted Answer

Question 8

How do I join Guro as a driver or agency?

Accepted Answer

Drivers can apply on the Become Driver page or through the Guro Driver App. Agencies can register on the Become Agency page — our partner team will contact you to complete onboarding.

Question 9

What documents do I need to become a Guro driver?

Accepted Answer

A valid driving licence, your Aadhaar card and a smartphone for selfie verification. Commercial (badge) licences are preferred for some trip types but not mandatory for all.

Accepted Answer

Your earnings depend on the number of hours and trips you take. Outstation and full-day trips pay more. All earnings are shown transparently in the Driver App.

Can I drive part-time?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You choose when you're online and which trips to accept.
