In short
- You pay for the driver's time — fuel, tolls and parking are paid by you directly.
- Pay by UPI, card, net banking, wallet or cash where available.
- Card and UPI details are processed by an RBI-authorised payment partner.
- Corporate accounts are billed monthly with GST invoices.
1.How Your Fare Is Calculated
Fares are based on the package you book — Hourly, Half Day, Full Day, Outstation or a Corporate plan — as shown on our Pricing page and in the app at the time of booking. The estimate you see before confirming is the base fare for the booked duration.
2.Additional Charges
The final amount may include the following, where applicable:
- Extra time beyond the booked package, charged at the hourly rate in 30-minute blocks.
- Night charges for trips between 10 PM and 6 AM.
- Waiting time beyond the first 15 minutes after the driver arrives.
- Outstation allowances — driver food and accommodation, or an allowance in lieu, and the driver's return travel for one-way trips.
- Applicable taxes, including GST.
3.Costs You Pay Directly
Because the driver drives your own car, the following are not part of the Guro fare and are paid by you directly: fuel, tolls, parking, state permits and entry taxes, and any traffic fines caused by the condition or documents of your vehicle. Traffic fines caused by the driver's own driving are the driver's responsibility.
4.Accepted Payment Methods
- UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm and other UPI apps)
- Debit and credit cards
- Net banking and supported wallets
- Cash paid to the driver at the end of the trip, where enabled
- Monthly invoice for approved corporate accounts
5.When You Pay
For city trips, payment is due at the end of the trip. For outstation and multi-day trips, we may ask for an advance at booking, which is adjusted against the final fare. Any advance is handled under our Cancellation and Refund policies.
6.Payment Security
Online payments are processed by an RBI-authorised payment gateway over encrypted connections. Guro does not store your full card number, CVV or UPI PIN. Never share your OTP, PIN or password with a driver or anyone claiming to be from Guro.
7.Receipts & Invoices
A digital receipt is sent by SMS, WhatsApp or email after every trip and is available in the app. Corporate customers receive a consolidated monthly GST invoice, payable within the credit period agreed in their contract.
8.Failed or Duplicate Payments
If money is debited but the payment fails, or you are charged twice, the amount is usually reversed automatically by your bank or the payment gateway within 5–7 business days. If it isn't, contact us with the transaction reference and we will help resolve it.
9.Unpaid Dues
If a trip fare remains unpaid, we may restrict new bookings on your account until it is settled.
10.Driver & Agency Payouts
Driver and agency earnings, commissions and payout schedules are set out in the partner agreement and shown in the Driver App and agency dashboard. Payouts are made to the verified bank account on record.
11.Contact & Grievance Officer
For questions, requests or complaints about this policy, contact our Grievance Officer. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 30 days.
